The Scouts have been busy as always, a couple of weeks ago the scouts visited the driving range at Boars Head Golf Course.
The scouts have a great evening learning to send their golf balls flying. During the evening the scouts managed to send most of their shots down the range, some becoming more accurate than others. Some of us managed to get our shots over the 15 metre fence around the range!

Mayfield Scout group was first registered in 1909, only two years after Scouting started.
In over 100 years the group has become part of the community, and has changed to
meet the needs of the children and adult involved.
Scouting helps develop self knowledge
and skills for life. It allows a person to discover the world beyond the classroom.
This is a world wide organisation in over 216 countries, scouting is a large organisation
and hasn't stopped growing since it was founded in 1907. In the last 20 years the
amount of members has doubled, at present there are more than 25 million members
- boys and girls.
We are always on the lookout for new leaders, section helpers and committee members.
As part of this we often have the opportunities to meet the leaders socially or at scouting events.
If you want to find out more about becoming a leader for any of the sections please complete the enquiry form.
